Question Tax free Rolex in airports

Im after a Rolex bi metal watch. I have some prices from official dealers

Bi colour Submariner £3690
YACHTSMAN: £4430

Just wandering how these prices compare to 'duty free' Rolex in airports, (specifically UK airports) and are European destinations included in 'duty free'.

I think if you look on BAA website, particularly for Goldsmith's, you might be able to contact the shops themselves in, say, Heathrow or Gatwick.

For the record i have 'gold' wheels on the car

Why have a casio when you can draw the time on your wrist with a borrowed pen

Whats a YACHTSMAN ?

I think you mean a YACHT-MASTER.

I have both models you have mentioned, if you want a good price, and are willing to pick it up PERSONALLY we could do a deal.

And you can buy them at 'duty free' or Tax Free prices regardless of where you are flying IIRC. (Types Chuck whilst gazing at the Breitling Montbrilliant he bought Saturday whilst trying to find something for the wife for their 10 year aniversary LOL)

Duty Free refers to alcohol and tobacco, Tax Free refers to other goods. If you are flying within the EU you are entitled to buy Tax Free goods (no restrictions).

See here for more information and a list of shops (including jewellers) whom you can call for prices.

There was 2 TT Blue Sub at Schipol on Sunday , is was 5055 Euro so no real bargain other than the fact that you are unlikely to get one at a UK dealer without a wait

You messed up didnt you.

Had to edit, to hide your mistake.

Dont worry......we all make mistakes.......even you !

I will think about a price if I decide to sell, and PM it to you.

The Sub is Bi-Metal with a blue face
The YachtMaster is also Bi-Metal with a specled silver face.

But I dont really need to sell as yet.

Thats a poor picture, it looks like a gold case.

My case is ST.Steel, but the face is the same, mine has YACHT-MASTER in red letters. The center band of the three links is gold.

Oh dear, my turn to make a mistake.

Upon inspection my Yacht-Master is not BI-Metal at all, well it is, but PLATINUM and St.Steel.

Too many watches.

Called Goldsmiths and Harrods at Gatwick and Heathrow and they both don't stock Rolex watches.

Seem to remember they were sold in Dubai when i went last through there, unfortunatly I have no contact number
