Back from the dark side!
Hi to all Scoobynetters.
Just thought I would let you know that I am back home after the operation in Plymouth.
Its a bit of a fearful thing to have to look forward to but now that it is done I can relax and recover thank goodness.
I have to say that the care and attention that I received at Derriford Hospital was second to none. I could have easily imagined that it was a private operation rather than the NHS. All the staff work 100% for the patients and nothing is too trivial for them to sort out. This is the main reason I am home 5 days after such a major operation. If you have to get something done to your heart-try to get to Derriford. It is acknowledged as one of the best heart hospitals in the country.
My thanks again to all who sent their good wishes before I went in-I was pretty frightened as you might imagine and you helped.
The one lesson I learned, if you have got a packet of ciggies about your person-tread on them!
Les-happy again

Thanks Guys,
Yes Sticky, it was due to smoking even though I stopped nearly 8 years ago, nearly everyone in there was there for the same reason. Best wishes to you VaNdal, the wait is the worst bit as well as the cancellations.
You never know Tel, when the healing up is all done I might just be on for a bit of "fetishing"
No chance of smoking again for sure, the worst bit is I have to wait 4 weeks before I can drive again! I like this relaxing though.

All I can say B2zero is that you should have seen the nurse I got in the high dependency ward, where you get one to one attention! I'm sure it put me back a bit with all that excitement
Oooh suit you Sir!
