Question Voting querie

Received my postal voting forms the other day and I'm pretty sure I will be voting for the UK Idependance Party. I have allways thought we should not have joined the EU and believe that we should retain our national idependance. I am proud to be British and do not want our way of life to be decided by a load of people in Brussels whom we have no power over.

I would appreciate your views on the UKIP as I beleive they are the party for me. I am not a very political person but the views I do have on certain things are the same as the UKIP's.

Thanks.

Just spotted Robert Kilroy-Silk on the UKIPs section on the ballot paper. Is that the same Kilroy who presented the BBC1 morning chat show?

Sure is.

It's a shame that the EU has spoilt its chances of being properly accepted in the UK by having the non-elected European Commission alongside the elected European Parliament. For us Brits, the Commission is the scary bit that provides the "non-elected people in Brussels" ammo. The difference (AFAIK) between the Commission and our own non-elected body, the House of Lords, is that the Commission is able inititate laws/regulations off its own back, whereas the HoL can only veto HoC legislation.

When the older ones of us voted, we voted to join the Common Market, this was supposed to be a duty free zone to push sales with out tarrifs. Now look what its turned out to be, .............. a super state with its own laws, next thing a Constitution, common policy on tax, defence foreign policy and its all run and stiched up by the French and Germans!

Mungo and r32, exactly what I was thinking, which is why my vote goes to the UKIP.
