Captain Corelli's Mandolin
Any good? Worth watching? Or is it another English Patient? Can't stand Nick Cage so I need some convincing.

Given that you can't stand Nick Cage, can't stand English Patient, and that the film is supposed to be not a patch on the book... I'd say you should find something else to occupy you.
BTW, I haven't seen it

I didn't say I can't stand English Patient. I just though it got silly towards the end. Not looking good for Capt Corelli though. Someone must have watched it.

It's Top Gear followed by Hell's Kitchen and then Human Combustion for me, neatly sidestepping Captain Corelli and his mandolin

Bit of chick-flick, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but there are many differences from the FANTASTIC book!
I'm not a big Nick Cage fan, but thought that he really suited the role. There are some funny moments and some very moving moments in it. I thought the ending of the film very poor, but understood why they did it.
Ultimately, the film takes the main theme of a love story during the second world war, and leaves out many sub-themes.
Watch the film, and you'll have a longing to visit Greece.
I'd give it a go if I were you...
