Best feeling in the world
after months and months and months of practicing on a set of decks and pulling off a few good mixes in a row. BEST FEELING EVER although it does suck when there is no one in the room to share ur NRG with and then u remember ur a bedroom DJ

make sure you record everything you do and then copy the lot to CDs and listen to it over and over in your car, at work, everywhere. you'll pick up exactly wot sounds hot and what doesn't, then try again and it'll sound even better, guaranteed!
good effort stick with it.
(i thought playing to a crowd was the best ever feeling then i went rallying, never did buy another set of technics after that....)

Beat mixing is just the start of it...looooooooads more to learn.
Welcome to the club.
P.s if you are learning on anything other than technics 1200/1210s you are making things harder than they need to be. But the advantage of it is if/when you do progress to technics everything is suddenly so much easier.

Hey MadJay.... I went to college with a guy called Nic Fanciulli... Used to practice DJing with him as we started about the same time... I know the feeling your talking about.. both in pulling good mixes off and people learning faster than you.. He's just landed a residence on Radio 1... and i packed it up years ago..
