Cheap but decent digital camera
Evening All
Im looking to possibly upgrade my casio exilim digital camera in time for the summer holidays due to the fact that im not massively impressed with the image quality.
Can anybody suggest a nice camera which uses SD memory (got too many of these now to change really! ) and isnt over the top price wise. Budget is probably going to be limited to the lower end of the market but anything has gotta be an improvement on my 2 mpixel camera
Thanks
David

The fuji range is quite good, but you would probably better going to jessops and buying a high end digital (used) with warranty. You are looking for the best lens quality to get a nice sharp image, not necessarily the most megapixels.
E.g. - Aria do a 6 megapixel camera for £55 but the lens in so poor its just a soft fuzz.
Yet The canon and nikon midrange are 4 to 5 pixels and sharp as a knife.
I bought a second hand Fuji S2 Pro, which takes nikon lenses and takes microdrive compactflash, Smartmedia and supercell lithium battery.

I would guess that the DigiCam bargain of the moment just has to be:-
Olympus Camedia C-220Z
3x Optical Zoom + 2.5x Digital Zoom
2 Mega Pixels
Free carry case at the moment too!!
Can't fall off it at £79:99 from Amazon Oh, yes, it takes SmartMedia Memory .... BUT Amazon are doing 64Mb SM Cards for £10:99! YES £10:99!!
Result I think?
