Try norfolkline , they do go to dunkerque though ( about 15mins extra driving )

Was under £140 last time.

Or HoverSpeed. Try going outside the popular times for the best fares.

There is a new cat service from Folkestone Boulonge which is near enough to Dover Calias to make no difference. It is cheap, meant to be the equivalence of Easyjet for ferries!

I can't remember the web address though and can't find it!

By the way many of the "cheap" ferry ticket websites are owned by one or other of the ferry companies, but still worth checking!

Well the Transmanche ferries are not the most modern nor the most reliable. The service is mainly aimed at the frieght market, and the 4 hour crossing time provides a handy rest period for truck drivers.

However as it goes Newhaven - Dieppe it could add dramatically to your journey time!

I have just used www.speedferries.com as well, £60 one way - Job done, should get to the 'ring for opening time!

The service does not start until tomorrow, so it gives them 5 weeks to iron out any problems.
