Default Quick house insurance question please...

Been chillin this weekend had a top time away, come home to see our neighbour walking towards my car with a worried look on her face.

Yes you guessed it, weve been burgled !

Anyway to the point.

A boarding up company has been out and boarded up the back window (point of entry). They have screwed the security board into the UPVC frame, will we get a new frame through the insurance ?

We have full insurance, contents, acc damage, etc.

Thanks.

PS. The ******* took my toy R.C Subaru, amongs other things, whats all that about........

PPS. Did you know that the scenes of crimes bloke was a self employed civvie.I thought they were all coppers.
Talking of coppers, they cant be bothered coming round......suits me.

I would think the window/frame would be covered by the insurance.

How did the ***** get in?

Having screwed the boards into the frames I'm damn certain I'd let them know they are covered.

I can't see them arguing that one though.

What a snót to come home to.

p.s Are your flip flops safe?

Thanks chaps/chapesses,

We think the double glazed unit comes complete, so the holes in the frame are not a problem.

The boarding up company has billed my insurance company £350.00 for the pleasure of destroying the UPVC frame, he could have fixed the board in a manner so it would have not destroyed the frame.

Ive got to the stage now where Im begining to realised how much has actually gone.

A tool box with all my watch servicing tools, spare links, little bits Ive gathered over years of messin with watches, crowns, spare bezels, batteries, case extractors etc.

They basically emptied my shed of everything !

Luckily we had taken our mountain bikes away with us, or they would have gone also.

Then they used MY tools to break MY kitchen double glazed unit, to gain entry to the house. The ******* even used my duct tape to cover the pain of glass before they smashed it.

They didnt go up stairs, because as they entered the kitchen the PIR triggered the alarm, but he/she still ran into the living room and gathered a number of items (wont specify because Im pi55ed off). They even robbed a 'slummey tin' I use to throw my loose change in.

On top of all this the other half whos 4 months pregnant, wont go to our weekend retreat anymore. Because she thinks the ******* have been watching our movements and they will come back.

The insurance company are dragging their heels aswel, I dont remember dragging mine when I payed the premium.

Anyway enough on the subject.

Later Yoza.

Humble pie time.

Got a call of the police this morning, they have done their DNA test, and matched it with a local smack head.

They want a statement in the morning, then they are going to put his door in and arrest the ******.

Result....

He is even going to tell me the name and address of the ****** who smashed his way into my house and robbed my stuff.

So credit were credit is due, and well done.

I'm sure you'll be paying him a visit then??
I'd personally let the dust settle before you go and knock seven bells outta him otherwise you'll end up in more **** than the little b@stard who broke in

Be interesting to hear how you get on?

Good luck

Nick

P.S: Congrats on the baby front too.You won't know what's hit you soon once the little fella/girly comes along!! (And I'm speakin from experience here!!) lol

Cheers.

Dont think Ill get chance to see him, he has only been out for a few months, so he will be on license, which means he will go straight back inside.

I will be happy if he goes to Walton though.

One of my neighbours (Ricky Brookhouse) got 22 years in Walton for his part in a MAJOR drug smuggling operation. There's another guy (Andrew Shacklady) that's a friend of a friend if you like that's in there too!! (Andy was a big time drug dealer too and murdered someone by shootin them in the head and the bullet ricocheted into the dead guys mate wounding him!!)
I'm sure if this guy who robbed your place manages to share a cell with Andy,we can have words for him to have a suitable punishment!! lol

It's a small world uh? lol

Small indeed.

Shacky, zapped Paul Fields, but like you say it ricocheted off a wall and hit him in the back of the head. It was Shacky who was confronted by two men, one being Fields, his mate raised a pistol and shot Shacky but the gun jammed, and they ran off.

Thats when Shacky fired 3 shots at them, as they ran off.

Its a shame, I was going to sell him my plate, never mind.
