Sky TV - Additional Card
I've got a satellite set up on my canal boat as well as at home. When I tried to buy a second card for it, it tried my patience beyond belief. Depending on who I spoke to at Sky I was given various responses ranging from "no problem, but you have to have the same package on the boat as you have at home" to "no you can't have Sky on a boat because you can move from one ITV region to another!).
I ended up making a one-off payment for "channel 4 free to view", but this is no longer availabe to new customers. A friend is now going thro' the same agony. Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on Sky policy (if they have one) since their customer services are a waste of time.

Just tell 'em you have two receivers at home, off a twin LNB (or similar) and want an additional card for that 2nd receiver. Should be 15 quid IIRC, for the same package as your first card.
Don't mention the boat - it'll confuse them. Keep it simple.
