Downloading music from Kazaa....probs....
Ive noticed that when trying to download relatively new songs from Kazaa, most of the downloads dont work...ie they are interrupted by screeching noises.......is this because the song is somehow encrypted or is it just a problem with kazaa?

This has been getting on my nerves as well (which is a shame as KazaaLite has been good over time).
Where's best to download WinMX from? Is there a Spyware / ad free version?

Jack Clark..what are you talking about?? It's not theft mate nor is it piracy, it all depends on what you do with it once downloaded, and seeing as you do not know what I do with it, your comment is unwarranted.
So getting off the old moral high horse, where is the best place to get WinMX from?

Who on earth told you that? What you're saying is you can steal a CD from HMV as long you don't play it when you get home.

Your licensed to broadcast music to the public. That doesn't mean you're licensed to download music. I'm staying on my high horse, someone has to.

We have 'bought' our copyright.
So yeah, get off your high horse

Use direct connect (DC++) instead.
Downloading songs or software is illegal - there's no debating that. You either chose to accept it and don't do it or you carry on regardless.

Jack, dont bother m8, everyones at it. Lets face it, its not piracy thats stiffing the big record companies, its the dross they produce.
File sharing actually helps record sales if you care to do a bit of research btw.

my advice is DC++ if you are prepared to join the "community" and share files, as it has much faster downloads than other P2P networks. IMO.
Winmx is my favourite for audio as it has a very large base but is not mainstream so you get a better choice, its not as fast as others and i find you need to leave your computer on for days on end to build up the speed of downloads but if you do that anyway it can be lightening fast at times. just remember to drag your hard disk regularly or it may bust your disks.
if anyonne wants to download stuff of me, go for your life. i will set up a chatroom where you can browse my stuff.
and of course to satisfy Jack, this is all my own stuff, nothing pinched from hmv!!

Try BitTorrent, can be very fast, has lots of "gentlemens viewing" and some music. The main advantage is you don't need to share any files only the one you are downloading at the time.
