Default Possible Change to Divorce Laws

Don't know if any of you saw this on the news, but poor old Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour looks like he's in for a wallet-emptying from his estranged missus. Not content with two houses and £250k per year 'maintenance' she wants a percentage of his future earnings too !
If this case goes through, there could be a lot more future earnings claims in subsequent divorce cases - not really the most helpful thing for promoting the institution of marriage is it ?

its a sad fact..... if you marry and get divorced for some reason you are the breadwinner and provider...

but equal rights goes out the window

and if you have kids forget it!!!

Not always the case. However, given Ray Parlour's profession, could he really argue that he'd be able to give them a more stable life than their mother?

Would it work the other way round if she was pulling in the cash and he was kept at home as a ginger love god?

I would love to get married someday- but this sort of stuff scares me so much i dont think i ever could. I know too many people that have been f*cked over big time.
Not even like a pre nuptial is legally binding in the Uk either..

I stand by my statement: Find a woman you really hate- and buy her a house.

P.s
His ex wife looks like Bernard Matthews
