I'd not call the streets a chav band, that accolade would be awared to the likes of So Solid Crew.
I kinda like the streets, it's certainly 'alternative' and not something you could really sing along to, but hey, it's rather funky and 'urban'
And you need that in your life!

i admit i bought the streets first album. i heard the single on radio 1 "original pirate material" - at first i thought it was a p*** take of "pirate radio" style music, but it kinda grew on me. i think mr. skinner has a certain flair. haven't heard the new stuff as i no longer frequent R1.

New album's meant to be better then the last - which I kinda like.
As said above, at least it's a bit different from all the hip hop and R&B drivel that dominates the charts. There's actually some thought gone into it.

He's fairly Chav'ish! He used to live opposite one of my best mates for years, just moved out of his moms' house with his new found wealth, the pub he drank in is def' chavish, full of Burberry wearing goons..... he's about the most recent famous person in our neck of the woods at the mo' so have to wish him luck whatever I think of his music!

Well, let's hope we see him on MTV Cribs, as there is no way he can have as little taste or style as some of these stupid rap stars. I've got more taste and style in my pinky finger than they have in their whole family, goes to show that money does not buy you taste or style.

I want to hate that song, I really do, but it gets under your skin, makes me smile anyway, reminds me a bit of Park Life era Blur.
Can see hoe you could really hate it though.

Bought the second album (A Grand Don't Come For Free) at lunchtime and first impressions are that it's not as good as Original Pirate Material. I could listen to OPM in its entirety without skipping any tracks. As for the new album I'm just not sure about it. I think its one of those albums you need to hear a few times before you get into it and a bit louder than what you can get away with in an office environment (not very loud at all).
Oh, and I can definately confirm that I do not own, nor wish to purchase at any time in the near future, any garment of clothing with a Burberry print
