Bluenose, FYI, the search facility is now working....

Imlach- Where as I totally agree with you that people should use the search facility to stop the staggering amount of repetition in all forums, I can't help thinking nobody is actually going to type in "Gillette car".
Oh and it is a Saleen as my pal has two.

The two keywords in there are Gilette and Car.
Good grief!

Imlach- You honestly think someone would come onto a board such as this and expect someone has discussed anything at all to do with Gillette before?
I think not.
You typed it in because you knew it had already been discussed, that's why you found it on search.
Good grief indeed

You typed it in knowing the question had been discussed previously.
bluenosewrx didn't have that knowledge hence he asked the question.
Your defence is poor and contains a rather condescending tone but most of all it lacks any intelligent thought which you can sometimes present.

The reason people post their questions on this bbs is that they know that in amongst the patronising & condescending few, there is a huge number of knowledgeable people (some to the point of anorakism, admittedly) on here that are willing & able to answer them

I was just helping out, as many still aren't aware that search is now working. I see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING patronising in Post No.2 in this thread....merely a helpful hint that search was now working, and here's the link it returned!!
However, I'll refrain from doing so in the future due to the 'patronising & condescending" few who can't appreciate help when they see it

I agreed wholeheartedly about the amount of unnecessary repeat posts when search is available, but can you possibly expect anybody to assume that question would have been covered already?
Surely it's like going into the Gillette website and typing in Optimax in the hope of an answer.
It is relatively obscure at the very least. Had it been in another forum and car related then yes, try search first.
Imlach still thinks the fact he answered the question first with a link, that he found on search, was meant to be helpful rather than sarcastic.

Yeah OK, maybe the Gilette thing is a bit out of the ordinary but there are so many posts where it would be easy to find the answer.
A good example here:http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=326266

Yes Chip, one of many.
The worst offenders have to be those that post a question/statement in a forum and a similar thread is actually on that forum, right there in front of them!
Dim fúckers.

About the ad. Why would I want to see a flash motor in an ad for a razor??
Does that mean if I want to buy a flash motor, should I only buy one that has a razor in the ad??
These ad men are *****.
Andy.
