I was hit from behind in my car a couple of weeks ago. The insurance company are currently deciding whether to write it off or repair it at the moment. If they decide to repair it - and it is not declared a write off - what do I have to declare (legally) if I want to sell it? Do you have to state it has had some work done to it - or is this only needed if the car has been written off and then repaired?

if the insurance company repair it, it wont be on any register and you dont have to tell anybody anything when you come to sell

I thought you had to tell them IF asked, but not recorded. As i found out when i bought a HPi/accident clear car. Had a load of problems due to bad repair squashing the ABS cable
