Business Opportunity Not To Be Missed...Top Gizmo!
Had drinks with a good friend of mine tonight who is an electronics engineer. Anyway, we had a very interesting conversation about a new Gizmo that he has and asked if I was interested in distribution for it?? cough cough would I ever!!!
I’m sure it’s patented otherwise I wouldn’t be here telling you this!
Product
OK, I haven't got the full specs yet, but have got the general idea on how it works. It's a special MP3 player which can be used with a radio receiver and therefore would be ideal for in-car-entertainment. Basically any car hi-fi with a radio would be able to use it by simply picking up a pre-set radio signal generated by the MP3 transmitter and when the radio receiver picks the signal up (just like picking up radio station broadcasts) it would play whatever is recorded/transmitted from the MP3 (top 40, ABBA's greatest hits...whatever bakes your cake
!)
The Opportunity
I personally haven't heard of anything like this so think it's brilliant! With this MP3 Gizmo, it will bring an added dimension to those old hi-fi units
. Since this is ‘probably’ the best car forum ever
where better to ask…. who here would be interested in taking this product into the UK market to retailers, wholesalers and etc?

I've also added a Poll for end users for “Would you buy this product?” Yes/No?..not sure if the Poll feature will work as it's the first time I've tried this

LOL@Chris
That was well quick!...I'm well behind the times
How do you mean any player? You need that MP3 I spoke about above for it to work!
Anyway, it won't be anywhere near as expensive as an iPod...perhaps way under £100

iTrips are, in theory, illegal in the UK AFAIK (you're operating a pirate radio as you're broadcasting in a control band).
By any player, I mean a broadcast module that could be plugged into the headphone socket of any MP3 player and hence be used in car.

I thought you could get FM modulators for things like the M-Station MP3 system so that you tune the headunit into a certain radio frequency and it picked it up?
Like here.
Not the best quality though due to being radio signal frequencies....not that you'd really notice in the perfect acoustic environment that is todays modern automobile

Many in car MP3 units have used this method for years.
You can also get CD changers which use this method - it is has been around for ages due to a lot of people either not having a CD input, or can't be bothered wiring the thing up to the head unit.
However, I guess yours is the first portable sounding one (aside from the iPod). However, at £100, how much storage does it have? CD based? Or static memory?
