Thumbs up Chav parents get a timely reminder

From the head teacher's leader David Hart:

Poor parenting was responsible for "atrocious diet, leading to obesity", " children glued to computers" and "neglecting to ensure that homework is done".

It was unacceptable for parents to use "TV or Play Stations as 'free' babysitters".

"It is the attitude of these families, who know all about rights, but precious little about responsibilities, that has to change."

Parents had to send children to school "properly equipped with the right social skills".

Mr Hart said: "School staff are not surrogate parents. They are not social workers.

"They should not be expected to waste valuable teaching time doing the job that should have been done before the child sets foot in the school."

Tell 'em like it is. Parent groups are outraged. GOOD!!

Good for Mr Hart! About time the responsibility was placed squarely at the feet of the parents.

Its about time it was said. Make them responsible for the damage done by their spiteful children on their vandalising sprees as well I say!

Scum breeds scum. Very difficult to break the circle once it's set in place.

Prehaps if the pc brigade had not stripped the teachers of any powers of reprimand or punishment, the little chavs and chavesses might learn one valuable lesson....

respec...... its not just a chavvy thing it applies to your elders also!!!!

children glued to computers ... Play Stations as 'free' babysitters
But these skills will be essential for just about any job when the children become adults. Being able to kick a football or ride a bike are only of real use to a very small proportion of adults (other than as recreational activities). Like anything its about finding the right balance.
