Thumbs up Snooker's finished.

At last. 17 days of unutterable drivel comes to an end. Why do we have to be subjected very year to these moronic pikeys knocking ***** around with a stick? It's not what I pay an my license fee to be served up.

Anyway, thank god it's over.

Only the uneducated spell meant *ment*. I agree, those dullards should be sent to BBC4 where they belong I bet you don't pay a license fee either.

Nope don't pay a license fee either, but thank god for that little red button, which means I can continue to watch the snooker once the main programme has finished.

You could always have turned over and watched Heartbeat.

That's the problem. I can't stand the s**te they pump out on the 'chav' channels. Lucky I have better things to do, eh? Still, Top Gear is back next week.

I'm not much of a snooker fan either, but I don't remember my tv license stating that it should provide 100% of programmes which meet with UB's approval.

The BBC is about diversity, a wide & varied selection of programming, and catering for the general population. The viewing figures for snooker suggest it is liked by many tv license payers.

Anyway, with digital services now, there has been a lot LESS snooker on BBC2 this year. It has been available 24/7 behind the scenes on a red-button activated 'supplementary channel'.

Good!! Let's hope that's a trend that continues. The viewing figures these days are paltry compared to the 'glory days' of televised snooker. To me, being forced to watch it would be a form of torture.

Yes, but a lot of wives would say the same about Top Gear with that '****' who wears jeans.

Diversity, choice, and the 'off' button. Which don't you understand

Funny, I saw you talking about a Ch4 programme last week which was on at the same time as the snooker.

OK - I'll say it again. 17 DAYS = NO CHOICE at all. Put it on BBC 4 where it should be.

It gets so much coverage as it's so cheap and easy to film it. After all, all you need to do is set up a camera and leave it for a few weeks.

Yeah more Eastenders and cookery/DIY programmes is what we want instead

Your problem UB is you spend far too much time watching all the other sh1te on TV (and boring us all stupid about it on here) and then when someone takes away one of your avenues of pleasure for a couple of weeks you chuck all your toys out of your pram.

There is life beyond TV you know - next year when the snooker's on get off your **** and see what else is going on in life.

All the best,

tiggers.
