I'll be back soon....
Last year we were lucky enough to hear a Nightingale who had taken up residence in the neighbours garden. Late summer she took off. So this evening I was just having a weekend beer outside and guess what? Yep she was back singing her heart out. All the way to southern Africa and back to the same spot. Made my weekend DL

Actually there was a bloke over on the cat thread that needed something to stop his cat from eating his dinner. Perhaps your bird would be ideal for the job. It could do the singing thing and when the cat went to eat it he could get his dinner down him.
That way you get a decent nights sleep, the cat gets fed, he gets fed and the bird...
Well, there's millions of birds so lets not worry about it.

It's pretty incredible what migrating birds are capable of.

Jokes aside, we have had a blackbird singing its little heart out here for the past few days, its such a lovely sound and I just stand there and listen for ages.
Beats the hell out of the bang and crash of the kids on their skateboard ramp out back, in the close behind us.
