LOL, I sort of knew that
but thats not what I meant
My insurance company sent me a letter today and quote 'we have appointed a firm of Loss Adjusters to help you with your insurance claim'
I sent them (which the loss adjusters now have) a 2 page statement, a 3 page list of items, and approx 20 photographs, along with my claim form

Their job is to try and save the ins co a few £'s
Dealt with a couple in my time, they usually try it on a bit, but stand firm and they come around in the end.
Having full details of what your claiming for, along with any proof of ownership, receipts, photo's where the items are included within the picture etc all help it along.
And be nice to them, each time for me its been a female loss adjuster so a bit of harmless flirting puts them in a good mood !
Last claim (garage break in) I ended up getting more then I was claiming for . . .
I had opted out of having bicycles covered on the insurance (reduced premium) but forgot to include it when I got a new MTB. Was telling the loss adjuster I was annoyed at myself for NOT adding it back on my insurance etc, but she said I would be able to claim after all as she would put it down as "personal possessions" RESULT!
Oh yeah, they ALWAYS have an ARGOS catalogue with them to compare stuff with.

They are wasting their time with an Argos catalogue for me then
and my neighbour
Mine was a garage break in, and all my tools went, plus a few other bits n bobs
My Neighbour was his house for his car keys, and took both cars

They collect ancient helmets and worry about what clothes to wear, if you read "Armadillo" (odd book). Their boss considers their role in life is to remove the certainty from the world of insurance.
