It's now 11:00pm here and for well over an hour I've had to listen to a cacophony of car horns and whooping outside my apartment in Toronto.

All this because the Maple Leafs (an Ice Hockey team) have got through to the next round of the Stanley Cup. As the cup final isn't until June (and there are many more games/rounds to go), it seems they are getting a bit carried away. I can't imagine the English going as mad unless they actually won the World or European Cup.

What they do if they actually win this cup is anyones guess. People are literally hanging out of their cars as they drive along. Apparently hockey is classless because I've seen everything ranging from Honda Civics to Ferrari F360 convertibles driving up and down beeping their horns. Fire Engines have been sounding their horns and sirens and even the police cruisers have been using their PA systems to shout "Go Leafs Go!".

Unfeckingbelievable.
