Can someone with poor credit affect you in same house?

Yes it can, not sure if missing a few payments will make a significant difference but you are linked to those in the same household.
I believe you can insert a statement into your rating profile to disconnect others from you. There is more info on teh Experian Website or Equifax.

yes, she can effect your credit, contact experian and equifax and tell them you wish to make a "noc" notice of correctment, on your credit file, when a search is done it will be noted that you have no financial relationship with this person!
you basically need to staate that, say you have no financial relationship with this person, you dont rely on her for money, etc etc, when you get a copy of your credit file mail me and le show you how to read it.

Someone living in the same house with bad credit rating can affect you getting loans credit cards etc. I think if nothings been blacklisted you should be okay to find a loan somewhere.

It certainly will
I remember my brother went to buy a house, the offer was accepted and he moved in. Shortly after he applied for a few bits of credit, TV, video, that sort of thing. He was refused everything
Turns out that the bloke who lived there prior to the bloke he bought the house off had the same name (first and last name), the same job and of course the same address It took him over 12 months to clear his name. He had to prove to one creditor in Court that he was who he said he was and not the other bloke..........very distressing
