I only use online at www.photobox.co.uk so you'll have to upload them if you want to to that, most of the local shops don't seem to do digital camera formats 4:3 though so expect some cropping.

Jessops got top marks in a recent digital printing test in one of the photography mags.
I haven't tried them myself though.

I've just used my local photo shop, but I think Boots do them also from digital media or CD. Expect to pay about 15p each if around 40 pics or more for 6"x4".
15p is much cheaper than trying to print them yourselves with paper ink and the time it takes.
As stated though, they crop the top and bottom if printed in 6"x4" format so check the pics before hand and compose them as you want with the correct ratio (3:2) of pixels to ensure you get what you want.
