Default gas/elec companies

Anyone know the best/cheapest gas company in the south west area (swindon).

I am having gas installed very soon by transco and need a meter installed as well. I cant seem to make up my mind, there are so many to choose from.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.
cheers Adam

Ps might change elec as well if better

i was with atlantic for bothe elec and gas. the prices were very good - came up cheapest on one of those internet comparison sites. however - their meter reading bozo got the numbers wrong with the result that they sent me a bill for 2k. funny that they didn't think to question an increase in usage of tens of times the normal amount. this took about 3 months to sort out as their call centre staff are variable, to say the least. after his incident i decided to change, and i went with sainsbury's - who i later found out are just re-sellers for scottish power. atlantic owe me over £100 on one account, and they are stil charging me for the other account, despite the fact that sainsbury's are also charging me for it. basically, i wish i had never bothered to change, due to the amount of time it as taken up on account of other people's incompetence.

USwitch.com will search for the "best" supplier in your area.
