I'm getting married in June and currently looking for ideas for my stag do. Thanks to a stupidly expensive honeymoon I dont have much to spend at all so it needs to be in this country.

Current ideas are:

1) Karting then clubbing in Milton Keynes.
2) Spearmint Rhino in Uxbridge.
3) Pub crawl in Bicester.
4) Something else (ideas below)


If it's any help, I'm considering throwing the whole evening open to ScoobyNetters.

Spearmint Rhino is now closed in Uxbridge mate. There is one in Slough though.

 

I organised a night at Spearmint Rhino's in Sheffield for my mates stag do, wish I hadn't bothered. Not very good IMHO

Went to Portugal on mine on a weekend bender - v v good time cheap flights and cheap accomodation because it was out of season.

Going to Prague for a long weekend in April with Go Karting included, should be fun

Book a scabby hotel in London, Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester and get lashed somewhere different

 

I'm going on mine in 4 week's. Dont bother with all that poncy paintballing and karting $hite. Find a hotel in a ciy thats not your own and get lashed. Job done.

 

I'm also getting married in June and am having my STAG weekend in May. For starters, your best man should be arranging this, obviously with a few ideas thrown out by you the groom. Secondly, what the hell are you doing paying for it!!!!!! Mine is being paid for collectively by all attendees with the exception of me the groom. Get it sorted out fella.

12 of us are booked in at Daytona, Milton Keynes for a good karting session (£55 each) which we all can take part in i.e. fathers etc. We are then going for a nice meal, not in Milton Keynes I hastened to add, followed by a Club which the elder members of the party won't be coming to. It's at this point that things will start to get very liquid and very messy. The next day, those still standing are meeting at our local for Sunday lunch followed by an afternoon session of beer & sport. I'm sure my best man (brother) & best mate have plenty of tricks up their sleeves but this is the general weekend plan.

I'm really looking forward to it now, bring it on.

Mine is in Leeds stoping at the mariott... Getting there for 12 on good friday staright on the drink until 11:07 on the sunday when we get the train back to home to Newcastle catch up on sleep and food then out on the Bankholiday monday in newcastle.

I'm sure you will enjoy your stag weekend & I will enjoy mine.
Not everyone thinks that getting drunk with your mates makes the ideal stag do. From a personal point of view, being able to incorporate an activity IMHO makes it more memorable. Also, my father and father in law to be would not enjoy a drunken night out with my friends so by having an activity, meal & then night out, everyones happy and included.

p.s. sorry to dissapoint, but it is likely to be Brandy & Cigars after Coffee rather than Sherry after Tea. We may imbibe in a little Port at some point during the evening, is that OK with U? LOL.

 

get the cheapest flight anywhere you can, ireland, prague, amsterdam easily get a flight and taxes for less than £40.

dont bother with a hotel or hostel, get the lunchtime flight out drink all night party go back to the airport in the morning, have a wash shower and a kip in the lounge, get the lunchtime flight back.

what you will save in beer and food and entertainment will more than cover the flight cost compared to this country.

p.s if you want to stay over night I know a bar in amsterdam that rents out a basement with bunk beds for upto 20 people for £12 each. it isnt shared with anyone else has a shower and toilet, and is right in the action :-)

Prague , no question !! my bro had a stag do there last weekend in january and it was superb, nudge , nudge , wink wink !!

 

I organised a night out for a friend who was throwing his life away on some girl, like you he had little cash to spend so no foreign holidays.

What we did was this: cheap hotel room in Brighton, an 8 ball, hired some strippers at £50 per hour for before the pubs entertainment, pubs/clubs, then some cheap hookers and another 8 ball. The evening went well and cost about £200 each all in including the tarts.

He got divorced last year and now lives with a girl 10 yrs younger than him.

There's only one place to go for a stag do.....Sin City aka Las Vegas!!!! Just did mine there last month, we got all flights and 5 nights at the Monte Carlo for £445 If you know how to play Blackjack properly you can earn your spending money on the tables.

 

I'm hiring two 50ft yachts and going sailing with 19 mates for a long weekend, cost p/p is £110 all in plus beer.
Hoping to get over to the continent but even if we end up in Lowestoft we'll have a laugh!
