Question Looking for new mobile phone provider!

Im looking for a new mobile provider.
I was previously with 3, (who were appalling)

Looking for:

Good network support (country wide)
A deal that is for cross network calls

not sure about off/on peak deals..

Cheap monthly cost
-------------------------------------------
Im asking here as Im sure someone can set me straight and save me a lot of hassle and dodgy sales pitches from slimy salesmen

Currently I have found this deal that seems good.. just not sure about the provider..

TMobile- Everyone Off Peak 500 £20PCM

any thoughts?

I've just changed my tariff over with T Mobile. I was on the 100 cross network minutes with a 100 text messages which worked out £27.50 a month. I looked around at what everyone else was doing and was going to change it to a PAYG.

As soon I mentioned it to TM they suggested going to the Mix It Plan. I've got exactly the same deal and paying just £14.50

I've been with them since the One2One days and havent had any problems with them as far as network coverage, voicemail, etc ....

Both my girlfriend and I are on o2. We pay £25.00 pm each and receive 100 free text messages and 100 free anytime minutes. The minutes can be used to call any network at any time. So cross network peak calls (i.e O2 to Orange @ 10:00) are free for first 100 minutes.

I drive 50k miles a year and have had O2, Orange and Vodafone

O2 is complete crap - dont even go there
Vodafone is the best by a long way and then Orange

Cant say that I'd even wan to touch the others.........

As for the deals well of course they all change every week it seems............

I've been using Orange for about a year now - better than the previous O2 (and the customer care, doesn't even compare). I should declare an interest here, as I work for a company in the France Telecom Group (that also owns Orange). However, if I were buying my own phone, then it would be on Orange. They should be able to match any deal you find on another network, or you can tailor your own monthly payment plan.

Yeah they should be able to - but don't always!

I was with Orange over 5 years and found them very unhelpful and coverage was crap. Have been with O2 now for a year and monthly bills are less than half than what I was paying with Orange. IMO coverage is far better too with O2.

Thumbs down

Been with Orange for about 6 years and the last 6 months have been appalling with a mistake in their favour evey month on the bill and loads of hassele to sort it out.

Also i have an orange phone thru work as well and find the coverage patchy in london and Essex and also frequently find the first time i call some body else on orange it goes to voice mail if i call back imediately it connects. even if they are standing next to me with full signal.

i certainly don't think i would recommend Orange to any body after the last 6 months.
