SPEEDING IN LANCS!!

The police have finally bowed to public pressure in Lancs. From now on if you're caught speeding 4-5 mph over limit you will get a caution, 1st time, speed awareness course 2nd time, points and fine after that. By which time you deserve it IMHO.

...or maybe they have bowed to the fact that cameras are not working (despite what Bliars reports say), and that the number of road deaths in Lancashire has risen from 66 to EIGHTY SEVEN per year!!!!

As far as i can tell, there's still more scameras in Preston than there is in the whole of Northamptonshire.

Everyone should move to Durham!

It does sound quite a good move, though what happened to the old 10% + 2 mph?

We all know camera's are only about making money essex Police issued 96000+ tickets last year and road deaths went up by 25% apparently they don't have enough camera's!

Obviously any body else would see it isn't working but then we don't get a share of the profits do we. Still we now know how to reduce crime just pay the Cops a bonus for conviction of a burglar and burglaries would plumet.
