quickie for any dental professionals;

mouthwash; is it worth using and are there any particular favourites!?! It's reasonably expensive stuff, so I'm wondering if it actually does anything that toothpaste (Total etc.) doesn't?

Also there's a news article on bbc.co.uk talking about the acidic effects of fizzy drinks, does rinsing with mouthwash combat this? (or warm water I suppose for that matter) Or are all us us Coke drinkers doomed from the start!
