Default Tracing a marriage

I've heard through the grapevine that my ex wife (not divorced yet though) has re-married but it only lasted a week!

How do I check this out bearing in mind I dont know where she lives (might be outside the UK)???

You could always ask the Registry of Births, Deaths & marriages.

Although...if it's outside the UK I'm not sure where you'd go....

Try creeping back along your grapevine and see what else you can find out? Bearing in mind it's only hearsay.

She would have had to show the decree nisi to the registrar.......my brother in law tried to remarry while still married to my sister, the vicar at the church did find out and the wedding had to be cancelled.
I would be very surprised if she did remarry while still married to you as checks ARE carried out........but maybe she slipped through the net!!!

Joan.

only if she admitted to them that she'd been married before. if she hadnt even said anything about it, they wouldn't be asking for nisi.

find out the punishment first, and if u can get proof. if the punishment for doing what she did is bad enough... and u dont like her much... then id say u could ask for a whole lot more if u wanted. after all, u probably know how much she's worth.

the register would be the best place to start, but if outside the UK, not really helpful. Question is, how well do you trust the grapevine?

If you do find out she has remarried, wonder if her new hubby knows? he might not be to impressed to find out she is still married, depends how evil you want to be.

Wow! I've heard you were a success with the ladies, but I didn't know you'd once been married to Britney!
