Tax - Self Assesment ???
Apologies, but living in NZ, so not in touch with UK issues.
Who exactly has to submit to self assesment ?
I presumed that it was just people paying 40% tax ??

Simplistically, anyone who might have any untaxed income or could be in an overpayment situation seeking a refund of tax paid.
The onus is on you to decide whether you need to submit a TR, rather than the IR to find out !

So, in my situation I earn UK rental income, but also incur UK costs, and the net income is less then my personal allowance. I therefore don't pay tax or reclaim tax.
Should I (or am I oblidged) to do self assesement ??
