Question Parking in northhampton

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good secure carpark in the centre?

Is northhampton usually ok for parking (security) ?

Thanks

Simon

Talking

Is this for shopping or working?

I know parking is expensive if every day, but if just popping in, I use the Grosvenor centre car park. Pretty secure and also teeming with traffic wardens - they take a digital camera with them and take a snap to prove they've ticketed you, (next to your tax disc!)

My mate got his Impreza keyed in Sol Central.

The one behind the Derngate would get my vote - it's called St johns.

I was advised that it was safer to keep driving in Northampton, with the doors locked!

I would take up the offer of leaving it at someones house. St Johns is good but not secure for over night.

On another note...got back to my car parked in town recently to find two wardens standing next to it gossiping. When i got in it they walked off. Looked at my ticket and it was due to expire in two minutes. (unts.
Last month I found 2 wardens standing next to my car at the Argos carpark (I knew my ticket had expired). So one of the wardens said I was late and then asked what he thought I should do (maybe he wanted me to grovel).
I replied and said 'its up to you' as I knew I had taken and risk and didn't think it was unfair to get a ticket. The wardens then just walked away from the car (I couldn't believe I got away with it).

BlueSimon, Regarding the parking question, I would say to park outside the town and get a lift or taxi to the town centre, you won't worry so much. Assuming you don't live in Northampton, there are plenty of us about as you can tell if you need help.

As Nicci says. Better to leave it outside of the centre of town.
I live down in Hardingstone, 5 minute taxi ride into town.
I thought if you left it over night in St Johns you get charged ££'s?
