Default Best savings account out there

Anyone know/recommend best way of investing £10,000?

Prolly gonna put £3000 into mini ISA (M%S base rate + .5% = 4.5% at the mo).

So need somewhere to invest the other £7,000. Something which pays interest monthly would be best. Want the interest to be paid where I want it (or leave it in the savings account). I think most people are confident that the interest rates will carry on rising so something that is linked to the base rate may be good.

I'm also searching the net for the best deals but it's a minefield out there so I thought I'd ask Scoobnet Financial Advisors inc.

For the balance of £7,000 I'd have a look at this http://www.ingdirect.co.uk/

Drac,

a pissy 10k aint worth walking to the bank with mate......

stick it under your bed... until the morning, then give it to the paperboy as a tip.

Unlike a lot of other banks, with ING you can transfer large funds (10k +) in one go as well
