Cheap hols? Currency: £ vs € vs $CDN...
I loved going skiing in Canada, I think the exchange rate was about 2.35 to the £ a few years ago. Now I understand it's closer to 2.49, which is a bit of an improvement but not much.
But now I get paid in Euros, so that's a different kettle of fish altogether.
While I haven't really got the money to justify the hols, should I force myself () to go now because it'll be better value than next year?
(I know it would be better to go to the US, the $ is more clearly weak, but there are various reasons why I won't go there).
Thanks
Brendan

Brendan,
Just go! I`ve just got back from Banff and it was brilliant! The snow was amazingly good, it wasn`t crowded like the European resorts and the people don`t barge their way to the front of the ski-lift Q.
I loved the whole holiday, OK the flight is long but it really was good value compared to the prices you can pay in Europe. There are many reasons I prefer Canada to the USA, the friendliness of the people is one, the good banter with the many Aussie`s who work in and around Banff is another!

Simon, have been to Banff 3 times, each with the same impression as you! But after buying one house and trying to buy another, four grand (we have a teenager) on a holiday is a bit extravagant...
