Default whats the Ebay scam here?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3659842497

They emailed me back and said those bidding haven't read the listing properly, this product can be bought for £16.49 using the buy now option embedded in the listing

i have never come across this before,a auction within an auction so to speak

also, this product is worth at least £100,even on Ebay

anyway,i have bought one,but is there a catch?

Looks dodgy. If you do the buy now bit that's sort of hidden you don't buy it through ebay and therefore don't get their protection. Not that their protection is worth anything.

Smells of fishy scam.

Well, check out the dodgy items they bough too. Books with titles like

"How To Quickly & Easily Make A
Full-Time Income From eBay --
Starting Today ... Even If You're
Brand New To The Net!"

Well dodgy IMO

This also was "Auction ended early with Buy It Now." and sold for a pound???

Seems like as soon as they hook someone they take it straight offline. Gotta be well dodgy.

How did you pay?

Do an immediate chargeback on your CC if you paid by paypal.

Report them to paypal and ebay.

You have to do it through your CC company, as far as I'm aware.

Give them a ring and say you suspect fraud, they're law-bound to look into it.
