Anyone ever had to use one of these, thing is i got an oldish diesel van thats a bit sluggish to start first time in the morning, but fine after that. Now as the weather is going a bit colder with frost expected i`ve bought one just in case, its only a cheapie from argos, so lets hope i have to use it sometime before the 16 day money back gaurantee expires

They are OK, borrowed a mates a few times. But I still stick to jumpleads and a battery (simply because I'm a tight git and have a few spare batteries lying around )

Just a handy hint to get oldish diesels running first thing in the mornings.....switch the ignition on wait for the glow plug light to turn off, then turn off the ignition, turn it back on, wait again, then repeat once more before cranking it over. (unless you have a glow plug button - press that a few times instead )

I carry one in the boot.

I used to be in the motor trade, so am always being asked to help when anyone in the neighbourhood has a car problem.

A lot easier than pishing about with jump leads, but you do need to charge it regularly. do a search for SIP booster on ebay- should cost u about £30
