Scam ?
I had a text message today which read:
"You have 1 new ARP voicemail message.
Please call 08717124*** to listen to it."
I have some free minutes, so phoned it.. a dodgy prerecorded message stated I had won a large cash prize but had to phone a 090 number to claim within 48hrs..
anyone else had this? is it a genuine scam?
or did xmas just arrive early?
ta.

Yes it's a scam, I've had one, as have most of my mates.
You'll probably get one for a dating service and one from your mobile phone company next as thse things normally come in threes.

and to add insult to injury you might find that the number you called doesn't fall under your free minutes which means you may have already paid them a £ or 2 already

Ah man it deffo is a scam.I phoned them back two times thinking it could have been overseas call from home or sunthing.Their msge says to put commas in the reply. Now my mob cant do commas. It only does inverted commas.I knew the second time they were fraud. If i knew who they were, I will put them in COMA!
