Is my bed free?
At the start of the year, the missus and I went to Dreams Bed Superstore to get ourselves a new bed. We arranged to go on the 6months free credit scheme, filled in the forms, paid deposit and left. The bed arrived as planend just 4 days later.
However, part of the form we filled in was a direct debit mandate for the remaining payments but our bank has not recieved these instructions. We called Dreams earlier who said we must call the finance company which, we did.
The finance comapny have never heard of us, dont have us on their system and dont want any money from us.
So, do you think we got our bed for the price of the deposit? We actually want to pay for it to save any potential hassle when/if they realise we havent. Trouble is they dont want our money!

Stick the money in a high interest account just in case and forget about it. Check with the citizen's advice beaureau, I think they only have so long to come after you for the debt. The tax man get's 7 years, but I think for everybody else it is more like 2
