Default CV advice

Is it okay to name drop on a CV? I work in a customer facing role, and wanted to mention some of the customers, as there are quite a few well known names. Is this okay to do, or would it be looked down on?

Better to mention which sector and position the well-known customer occupies than naming them. e.g a top 3 supermarket group. Shows integrity for your company's commercial data. A good employer should appreciate this.

You may well find yourself falling foul of the data protection act if you actually named customers.

I work for a bank and if I gave away names of customers or their personal details I would probably be sacked.

So, go with Suresh's advice
