Can anyone give me some advice on the latest DVD recorders.

I have the Phillips 880 at the minute and i'm not impressed with it. IMO the biggest waste of money since Man city bought David Seaman!!!!!

Whats the best out there at the minute??
Whats the bobby on the Format war DVD+ or DVD-?
Are the hard drive recorders the way forward now?
Any recomendations on where to buy them from?

It is for general use, recording from the Sky/TV etc? I have heard about the sky+ system. What r the pros N cons of this??

Cheers Adam

Got the Sony GX3 just before XMas for £350 delivered, seems to do most formats and easy to use.

If you've got a PC, it may be cheaper to buy a TV card and record down to HDD then burn to VCD or DVD. You can then watch ising your normal Tv/DVD player.
