If no protected bonus (bonus protection, 2 claims within 3 policy yrs as long as the 2 claims are not within the one policy yr) and you do not have all the details of driver who hit you (Reg,Insurance Company, Policy Number, Tel etc) then you may have to pay your excess for the time being and it means if your renewal is close then your premium may be effected due to the fact that a claim is going through...
On the other hand, if Liv Vic are good enough to register it as a non fault claim (stationary or hit in the rear though again not sure about Liv Vic) then you may have nothing to pay and nothing on your policy to affect your No Claims Bonus and Liv Vic take care of everything for you...
Although I can not say on here which company I am with, I would gladly put through your claim with no fuss...
YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME! REMEMBER THIS THOUGH, MIGHT BE USEFUL...
"Insurance companies say the vehicle behind should have enough braking distance to stop and so are to blame for the accident"
Best of luck mate and if need any advice just drop me a mail...
