I put my house on the market 4months ago and found a buyer the same week, they wanted full asking price(BONUS!)

Thing is I am selling as i am now married, and living in the house that me and a girlfriend set up 4 years ago, thing is when i bought her out she took all the paperwork and pretty much ditched it.

The house sale is getting delayed every week due to some sort of paperwork being missing.

the Buyers are getting a little p!ssed off due to the latest problem being that I need the HSBC certificate, otherwise the house sale cant go through.

I have contacted the solicitors that i frst bought the house through and they havent got copies, the solicitors i went through to buy the ex out also cant find the file.

How long does it take to get a copy of the HSBC Cert, how much and how long do you think it would put the house sale back?
