Erm, I was asked to do something for my boss which included using an old document which had rusty staples in it. I decided to change the staples cos it looked a bit minging. They were quite brittle and kept breaking so I ended up using my nails. I stupidly got it caught under the skin on my finger tip and now it is bleedy Bloody sore too. I can't remember the last time I had a tetanus shot. Will I die? Or worse still, will I lose my finger if I leave it?
TIA

Eventually, yes. Sorry.
But as a direct result of your staple injury? I suspect not.
If it goes puffy and horrible then you should get it looked at. In fact, if it is causing you concern, get it looked at anyway.
And check if you are due another tetanus shot. From something you said in another post I think that you're probably OK because you're so young that the last one you *should* have had will still be current. But make sure - it's something worth keeping up to date on.

As per the title, you are definitely going to die, as are we all sooner or later
But probably not from a staple bite
Cutting under the nail is very painful, even if it is clean. I'm sure you'll be ok, but if you are worried go and get a tetanus jab

I just put 'bad finger infection pics' in Google so I could post a suitably nasty image & No.8 on the Google list was about 'Illegal Horse *******'
I personally don't see the connection myself

The annoying Google ads above have a place that can do you a false nail if it drops off, but they appear to not stock replacement fingers
Sorry, Saxoboy started it - my first post was largely serious advice

One of the early signs of tetanus is if you get stiffness in the jaw, and you end up getting total lockjaw.
That was serious advice, but the potential for follow-up comments is positively scary...

Just noticed the Google advert:

Relevance?
