What a beautiful plane at the end though. Anyone fancy going getting one of the other five

The end of the doc was poorly constructed though, I was looking forward to hearing the twin Allisons start & run, but they played the music to loudly & had that daft tw*t talking over it. Then when it rotated off the runway for the first time in 60 years, the director cuts to a crowd shot

Agree with u there. Bloody wonderfull it being dug out,then to see it rebuilt

They'd been in transit to the UK, via Greenland & Iceland during the war. On the Greenland-Iceland leg they had to turn back, ran out of fuel & made a forced landing on the Glacier. All 25 crew were rescued but the planes were just left there.

Thanks google, indeed they should have used an "Impreza tracker system" and then they wouldn't have lost the plane
