2 things on the windscreen and one is the GPS sensor.

What's the other one for then ??
I thought that was a Radar/Laser detector ?

Moral of the story - get a laser diffuser.

Even a detector wouldn't have saved you - by the time it all starts going haywire and buzzing etc, it's too late. Laser detectors as part of radar detectors aren't worth diddly squat.

Not totally true, they can be effective at longer range such as on the motorway when you can pick up reflected laser energy or the edge of a dispersed beam. However, since the beam only disperses 200 mm or so at 200 feet at ranges less than that, and if it is being aimed steadily at your number plate, then it is quite feasible your sensor will not pick it up.

B2 does have the laser detector (but not radar) - the little dark red plastic thing with three "eyes" on the front and one on the back.

How effective they are is another matter - either at detecting or warning you (not enough time to respond)

to be honest buying this sort of thing seems like tempting faint, i bet alot of u when u got it felt safer driving at higher speeds because of it, which is why u should get rid of it. by speeding what makes u different from the boy racers flying around town squares?

0.3 seconds to get a laser lock, by the time that the unit has alerted you you have been caught.

yep should have stuck it on whilst we were all in the workshop on Saturday.

hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Not that it would have prevented the ensuing speeding ticket though.

Oh it gets better today....

Again my own fault for rushing..

A quick drive to the central ticket office (which happens to be Gloucester police station) after getting my plate fixed and the 7 day fix it stamped by a garage.
I spy a blue sign saying "max time 3 hrs" "not returning in 2" (not quite exact text, but you know what they say),
Anyway I spy a space there, slip the car in and run round the corner to reception, hand over ticket, quick explanation and she puts it in an envelope for the correct dept..
ahh done and dusted I thought.
Run back to car to find not only a parking ticket for £40 on the window but I've also been reported for "failing to display Vehicle licence"

Now.... I notice the Pay and disply meter hiding under a bush.
