Thinking of going tomorrow with the mrs. Not really my cup of tea apart from looking at amazingly expensive things that I can't afford but the mrs is mad on windsurfing etc and apparently there is a big indoor windsurfing display? Plus its a day out somewhere.
Wanted to know if anyone has been and what it was like?

Havn't been this year, but I always enjoy it when I go! I saw some footage of this year though and they did indeed have windsurfers doing tricks in a pool with a huge bank of fans powering them!

i went yesterday - it's at ExCel (docklands) which is massive compared to Earl's Court. there's sh*tloads of windsurfing gear, massive yachts and power boats, loads of gear, boats also harboured in the dock, including a tall ship. basically there is sh8tloads of everything down there, and a guinness tent as well. recommneded if you like that sort of thing. i bought a henry lloyd fleece for £30, which was ok.

Went Saturday just gone.
Not the atmosphere of Earls Court, and not so much entertainment ie bars etc just outside the show for when the show closes. Never the less a good show and an excellent day out. Plent of scenery in the Ginuess bar also. The exibitors that I know have mixed feelings so far.
For the very best scenery the Sunseeker Champagne bar is ideal. Always remember to ask for something on the lowest shelf, if you get what I mean.
Regards the windsurfing pool, I understand this to be a real spectacle, although it was shut for various reasons over last weekend.
Don't necesserily need to book tickets the only advantage being a £2 per head saving in price.,
If you go
Enjoy

Well what a crock of **** that was
Far too many people for the size of the show. The only thing we went for was the indoor windsurfing finals and when we got there the queue outside had more people waiting than what there were seats inside and it was already full inside! British organised events really haven't got a clue how to organise anything The queuing for the Windsurfing was some of the worst disorganisation I have ever seen.
However I did manage to blag it so me and W69 got in by not queueing and getting a seat on the steps in the grandstand so the disorganisation paid off for once
Also the queue for the HMS Northumberland was about a 2 hour wait. What a bloody joke that was. Didn't bother with that which I was a bit gutted about.
The Guiness Bar was good though
