I've got quotes from Tesco's, Nationwide and Lloyds. Can any please recommend anyone else to help reduce these costs?

Thanks
Steven

Try the Prudential. Cheapest I can find! Watch for the Accidential cover though. Need to make sure you include this when asking for a quote otherwise the 'i dropped a can of paint on my carpet' claim won't be allowed!

Legal and General on-line - they are always cheapest for me (and have a better policy that pikey insurers like Tesco and Direct line IMHO)

See if your car insurance give you discount for having house insurance with them. Direct Line/Privilege did for me, 25%.

After just having my renewal with a 67% increase after 9 years with the same company and no claims, I told them it was a windy day and that their company kite needed to make an appearance.

After a long search I found no better than Halifax online.

It's not hard to see why they are now the number one home insurance providers.

Give the site a whirl.

I've never had any problems with them, although I don't think I've ever claimed. IIRC MarkO is/was with Zurich. Maybe he can shed some light?

Zurich's level of cover is fantastic, and they're always more than competitive when we've been quoted. We've only had to claim once (leaking shower, so new tiling, flooring, etc) and their claims procedure was faultless. Can't complain really.
