Just thought I would post, been out for a thrash today, I'm in my jdm sti, mate's in his standard evo 6 gsr (infact the one of top gear test no 001!), had a good laugh.. different roads, twisty back lanes & nice bit of dual carriageway..

evo has the benefit of ayc so seems very good & stable on tight bends although he's also a nutter, seemed to pull away from him very well from 0mph onwards, mate in the back was impressed.. think i will stick with the subaru's , I much prefer the laid back engine burble of the flat 4 to the SCREAMING inline mitsi..

Anyway I like both cars, having driven the evo I still prefer the sti, the evo seems abit to smooth for me, no real turbo kick, but then very little lag.
