Any web designers about?
#1
I am looking for a good web designer for a new venture.
Its an e commerce type business selling approx 500 lines.
Anyone willing to put their name forward to give me a quote.
Ideally would like to meet up to discuss, in Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
I hope I haven't broken any rules by asking in this manner.(sorry if I have)

db - as i am not associated with this company i hope this won't be construed as advertising. You might want to speak to jake (jake@netrino.net). he does my website, and some much more flash ones for a company selling cruise holidays. he is quite good on php databases ans stuff. their website is here.

Hi.
I got a few quotes for a website with prices that ranged from £1500 to £3000. It was for a simple e-commerce site (10 products) and four pages. In the end a local designer did it for £600 and it has paid for itself already. His name is Leon and his company link is on the footer of the site.

I don't know what you are thinking of selling but get it done asap because there is a lot of money to be made out there. Also, get the shopping cart software so that you can make any changes yourself which will save you money.

Thanks for all the replies, I will be contacting you all.
Ian, I/we haven't really got a budget at the moment, once we've had a few quotes I will choose the company who can offer the best package and if it costs 10k then so be it.....
STI555,
I'd rather not say too much about what we're selling at the moment but the value is going to be about £25 per item and hopefully lots of them!!
Thanks again
Jason

I'm interested.
My site is www.motorbikestoday.com although you're probably more familiar with one of my earlier efforts: news.bbc.co.uk
Some e-commerce on the MotorbikesToday site, none on BBC but I also did www.beeb.com although thre was less commercial content then than now...
Be happy to either quote or to meet up and see if I can help in the process in some way.

Thank you all for replying, I will try to contact you all very soon. This has been put on the back boiler for a couple of days because my other business has become very busy.
Some good sites there, very interesting.
