Set off from Newcastle on Tuesday night (DFDS Ferry), spent a day in Amsterdam yesterday, and had New Year's Eve on the boat sailing back

What a place Amsterdam is. If you are thinking about going I definately would reccomend it. The red light district is such an eye opener. Women sat in booths selling there bodies - must be degrading for them

Fantastic shops aswell. Would definately go back.

I'm undecided on those things. There will always be a need for prostitutes, and I would much rather it be regulated. In Holland the prostitutes have good health care, good rights and earn a reasonable wage. And as always in life, they have a choice, so I'm not really convinced it's degrading. It reduces the danger that street walkers in the UK are subject to, and reduces some of the trade in "bought" women and children for use as prostitutes.

Psychologically it turns most of the women off of sex, and to a certain extent into "men haters". The men are mostly married, and the requests they get would probably even shock TelBoy. So it isn't really surprisingly that they are left with a slightly jaundiced view of the male species.
