Quick question for all the hifi 'gurus' out there.
Just got a new pair of Mission M33 floorstanders and in the manual it that they can be bi-wired for improved performance, so question is - is it worth it??(im not after 'perfection' as my rig is only a Pioneer A400 amp, Pioneed PD-S703 cd player, and these Misson M33s)
Thought it was time to replace after this happened over Xmas
It used to be a 6 year old Mission 733 before Leftfield got the better of it !!

Borrow some cables from a decent hi-fi retailer and try for yourself. I personally favour it, but if the bulk of your listening is electronic based you might not hear much of a difference. I find quality hi-fi is at its best conveying the subtle nuance of acoustic instruments. We all know how those instruments should sound, but synthetic sound has never existed until you play it. In the studio they hear their systems interpretation, but the recorded sound goes straight from equipment to recording device and so has no soul, IMHO.
Sorry, I just waffled. Like I said, try it with your ears. I like it.

It wasnt actually Leftfield(proper cd btw not a copy)that damaged it, the cone had become VERY brittle and had gained a couple of minor splits, Leftfied finished the job once Id got the replacements

For the sake of a few pounds to buy wire to Bi Wire then I would say try it. If possible Bi amp them, you really can hear the differance then. Bi-amping solidifies the sound IMHO
I think it does make a very slight differance to the clarity, but then I have heard a few people saying its the placibo effect( Ive done sommit so its now different ).

The difference you will notice could be down to remving the ****ey jump connector, which are usually a naff bit of old metal.Geeting rid of that using jump leads might have the same effect
i bi-wired with silver anniversary and i havent a clue if it made a difference because i did it from new I just thought it was a shame to waste all the lonely empty bi-wire terminals,so i filled 'em

Did my fronts with QED silver ( the flat version ) this time around.
I have some 'spare' 4 core from the original install if you want to try, but it's only quite short ( about 2m each side ).
