Did they just catch him on a bad day, or is there really as much of a personality vacuum as i seem to detect on those commercials?

Have you noticed the BBC have put his name on the back of his chair, so at least 99% of the general public will know who he is
I reckon ITV should out the names up of the people they have walking about in between programmes

As an occassional watcher of F1, I find him dull as ars3s, he hasnt exactly shone, or made a huge impact, and his monotone voice matched his monotone driving from everything ive seen of him.
As far as im concerned, he was hyped big time in the press, mostly on account of him being british, and when it came to actually getting on the track, he's a mediocre driver who I recon is destined for mid field finishes for his career.
Now, back to his girlfriend, I want more pics!!!

Well thats BBCi's problem Telboy, he is not a good advertising exponent I agree.
He is a good driver,he proved that in his first team when he was making the other team driver look slow. He has been in below par cars for a while now and it is not possible to shine in a non competitive car. The nature of modern F1 driving puts him at a gross disadvantage.
